Welcome to the Capstone course. The capstone is a year-long project where you get a chance to undertake a larger-scale project spread over a year. These sessions are designed to give you a chance to talk through your projects with your peers, to collaborate, and to give you the skills that you need to make your project really shine. You will also be appointed a faculty advisor / supervisor who will work with you as you develop your project.
The possibilities for capstone courses are very broad. It may be an extended academic paper, it may be a piece of applied research, it may be a creative output, or it may be a civic engagement project with a reflection. We are a liberal arts university, so we hope that the capstones will reflect this breadth.
